What does my child actually need?
Day one
A dobok (uniform) — a white belt is usually included. That's genuinely it for the first weeks.
When sparring starts
Head guard, chest guard (hogu), shin & forearm guards, foot protectors, and a mouthguard — most schools phase these in gradually. Protective gear must fit now: don't size up.
