If your young grappler is competing in Texas this month, the last weekend of September is a big one.
The San Antonio Fall Kids International Open IBJJF Championship runs Sunday, September 27 in San Antonio, Texas — an IBJJF international-level event for the kids' brackets. The San Antonio Fall International Open IBJJF Championship runs the same day in the same city, so plenty of families make a full weekend of it. Whether your child is on the bracket or watching from the stands, the week before is about the unglamorous stuff: gi checked for rips, nails trimmed, and bedtime moved earlier by half an hour.
